Went to Lebanon Valley last night. 1.89 60ft. 7.21 1/8 mi @100 11.33 @111mph and I MISSED 4TH GEAR on BIAS PLY DUNLOP QUALIFIERS......There's a race this Sat. if anyone is interested...pretty good pay out to winner

Nice, looks like the run was pretty decent but not a 10 sec pass so don't get the hopes too high on it. The 60' is decent but can be improved. Get it into the low 1.70's and I think you'll see the 10's with what looks like decent power being made.

Going to be doing some racing myself this weekend too! Reconverted the Fazer to a larger wheel (going from stock 18 to sportbike 17) and put a new slick on it as well as the wheelie bar again. Going to try for a 9 second pass with all motor. Best in the past was a 10.11 with 5" slick and crappy air shifter. We now have a 7" slick and air shifter working perfectly. Need to get the 2 step launch/rev limiter plugged back in.

Swapped out the hindle to a Kerker on my Vmax but the rear tire is pretty shot. Ran an 11.30@118 last month. Hope to get it closer to 10 sec pass with the better weather (and different exhaust).

I hear ya Sean. I haven't been down the track in about 5 years so I'm a little rusty. I was just slidin it out enough at about 5 grand so that that dunlop wouldn't spin. I'm gonna try to get off the lever a little quicker and NOT MISS 4TH this time :biglaugh:. Been lookin on ebay a little for a spare rear wheel to put a shinko on. I'm hoping with the tire, stronger clutch spring and a good short time it would go 10's........That would be a great day ! Only thing is if I race this weekend, I have to ride consistantly so I probably won't go for the kill. Man it would be great to have a street trim 10 second max.....

How about a 9 second street trim Fazer? You'll need to weight 150lbs or less lol!

Sean

Had a good time racin Staurday. Bike went 11.13 @121 so I dialed a .14 and went 3 rounds. Not bad for bein away for awhile. I ended up loosing to a guy on a busa who cut a .003 light to my .062 and had a great time anyway. I have a great picture that I will post when it's forwarded to me.....monster wheelie. Hey Sean, if you went racing this weekend just curious how you made out. Did you dial up the fazer ?

Didn't get much of an improvement on the Vmax. 11.30 @ 121 as well. Could be the bald tire lol. Actually, I was having wheelie problems more then anything. We did finish up the rear swingarm and slick on the Fazer. Friday night my welder kit took it out. He weighs 150-160lbs or so (compared to my 220). Best he got was a 10.90. He was having the bike bog and pogo off the line. When I got there Sat morning I lowered the bars 1/2" and cranked up the launch limiter to 9000 (he was at 7000). Second pass showed the best of the day. 10.58 @ 126.

So, with his skinny but on there it would have been lower but still not the 9 second pass we wanted to get. Next we are going to regear the bike and go back when it's cooler.

Congrats on the low eleven. You're almost there!

Sean

That a boy Zak! I watched your video the day you posted it...you're getting fast! Are you still running those crappy UNI filters? If so lose them....you'll pick up a few HP.
Looking forward to hooking up with you at Lebanon some time this summer.

Went out last night, first time with the bike, had trouble with my 60ft. Might try to tie down the front (to keep the front wheel out of the clouds) can't seem to slip the clutch enough.

The power is there, keep working on the 60' keeping the tire down and its all down hill. In a good way :punk:

94 3" extended, I weighed 293lbs in my gear and went 11.21 at 119mph on engine and 10.53 at 132mph on spray. Should go faster on spray this year with the progressive controller but gonna be awhile before I can afford to build a new engine so I've mainly just been riding and enjoying it so far.. can't afford to scatter it right now but before its over we will see what a 100hp shot will do on a Vmax lol

Stock bike, Marks 4-2 exhaust. 235 lbs suited up.

On average my passes vary at the last outing by .008 on my 11.05 dial :) That was 12 passes! Throwing out two bad passes, one being a mis shift and the other being a broken driveshaft.

I hope to see 10's this year on the bike before I do anything else to it.

Since I have the Turbo Busa ( when I get it back ) I didn't give much thought to the Vmax. But I think I may toss a bottle on it and see if I can't rip a couple low 10's out of it :biglaugh:
