He lived, in-spite of himself. What a story of self-destruction. Forty-five years old before his cumulative abuses caught up with him.
He got a biker's funeral.

That is true but lots of hockey players back then partied hard.
Did not know that he rode (let alone a V-Max) or that there was a film. Very cool to know on all counts. Thanks for the info

I know a lot of enforcers have it pretty rough, either by nature or by getting cast in their roles from youth leagues on. Some aren't even violent/self-destructive as kids, just big, then their coaches want them to drop the mittens. Maybe less so these days, but still can mess a guy up.
