R1 and R6 calipers?

I know you can use R1 calipers on a max, but can you use R6 calipers? They appear to be the same but I would like to know for sure.

Go to yamaha motors website and check if caliper part numbers are the same

They are the same for the 2000-2003 models (the ones that fit the Max). I do not know about other years. Yamaha actually lists different part numbers for them, but they are the same.
