R1 Gold Spot calipers

Bought these off a member and decided not to use them so.....back up for what I paid with the original ad copied and pasted below.

These will bolt onto 93-07 vmax forks. Pads are like new. Calipers are a little dirty but in great physical condition.

Direct replacement for blue spot calipers

OEM Brake lines bolt up but will be a little long.

$75 plus shipping.

In a nutshell, what’s the difference between the gold spot and the blue spot calipers? I only ask because a recent project GEN1 I picked up has the blue spot calipers on it.

From what i gathered, the gold spot pistons are of a different material and have a non stick coating.

The gold spot calipers came with coated aluminum pistons and glide super smoothly! They are great for some other models but the 6 pistons are a better choice (in my opinion) for these bikes.

Thanks FM. I figured these at the least would help with uneven pad wear from caliper to caliper or within a caliper itself.
