Does anyone know how to re-cap and work on radios?
I have a 1951 Admiral am/record player that needs to be recapped and have a filter capacitor replaced in the power supply (hums when turned on)
Closer to NY state the better.

Google may be your best friend for a project like that. Lots of sites come up on a search like that. Here's just a few....

The easist way would be to remove/list all the part #'s on the ones it has currently inside. Then go to one of the major on-line electronics parts sellers and buy the matching/current parts. I've done this with a few old pinballs, jukeboxes, and video games from the 60's, 70's and early 80's with success.

Good luck.
