tinman22 Well-Known Member Joined Oct 16, 2015 Messages 408 Reaction score 121 Location Toledo Dec 21, 2020 #3 I recently bought a zx11 wheel that was re centered for a vmax and got believe it or not an actual problem to fix. 88' and up hub cut down for the zx wheel. apparently the drive side taper of the zx wheel was more than the hub could take and this is the result. windows in the zx wheel we're left open and resulted in stress fractures on the rotor side. Repairs were attempted but...well. clearly there is nothing in the hole. sooo a vmax hub left and right were welded in. so apparently 88' and up are hollow. At least at that diameter. I can fix it. But if an 85-86 hub is solid or at least thicker i could do that. which would obviously be better. the only way to find out is to start cutting a good wheel.
