I am in the process of gathering the bits to do the R1 front brake upgrade on my '85, and I have braided lines, adapter brackets, blue spot calipers and an R1 master cylinder.
Today I needed to bleed my clutch (I have a tiny leak somewhere, as this needs doing about twice a year) , and totally rounded the shitty soft metal bolt on the master lid, and have resolved to finally replace the whole thing with a remote unit. So, new banjo bolts, line, bleed nipple and master.
But which one? I'm looking for something from a stock bike. I like the idea of the Suzuki TL1000 unit. I know I can get an aftermarket lever to match one for the R1 unit on the brake side.
Anyone have any thoughts on this?
