Our 5/8" piston is only 1.125 mm smaller than this 17 mm piston, probably not enough of a difference to significantly change the 'feel' at the lever if you run them. I can't see if they have tapped mirror mounting holes, and the other thing is switches for the brake switch and the safety switch for the clutch. One pic does appear to show a switch on the clutch side underneath. I would assume the brake side would have one too, but that would be something to check more. The underside shot does appear to show two switches, after another look.
 
If I go with clip on bars, and bar end mirrors then I won't need mirror mount points on the controls
 
Has anyone successfully mounted R1 or R6 rearsets to their Max? If so, could you post some pictures or a walkthrough of parts and modification necessary?
