How much of a hassle would this be to get it going again as a naked street fighter?

http://inlandempire.craigslist.org/mpo/5731547596.html

He is about 1.5 hours away and says the bike starts (but how can that be without the ECU?)

Not quite a basket case but the seller says it needs:

1:Front fork
2:Triple clamp
3:Front & Rear Fender
4:Tank cover
5:Air intake duct
6:Mid. pipe (catalytic converter)
7:Muffler
8:Radiator
9:E.C.U.

I don't need the fenders, tank cover, mid pipe, muffler
He says the radiator is ok, but there is connector leaking.

ECU and forks would be the tough parts to pick up.

So, a $9K - $14K bike for 2 grand....

Forks for sure you would need to buy new ($600 each side)....you'll never find a good used one. Stock ECUs can be found for around $500.......decent body parts (fenders, tank cover) for about $400. Scoops are fairly inexpensive as are stock mufflers.
.
I'd be very interested in this bike if it was on the East Coast.....I already have a lot of the parts needed to complete laying around.

It's a very fair deal......many would be willing to pay twice that just for the engine.

Well no response from the seller when I texted him, the ad got pulled the next day, so missed out on that one....
