Ours first came with a heavily modified Corbin saddle, black with grey flames. (Purchase also included the stock seat.) Then we bought a regular Corbin and had it all decked out in blue, because the bike was blue at that time. We changed the paint, and then painted the seat! Finally , the gas access area was getting to be a bit@* with the California gas nozzles, so I bought Hubby the newest Corbin. We are kinda Corbin fans since we aren't the smallest of people......lol.
Anybody done fun things with your stock seat? Is there another company you love? Post 'em up.

I didn't like the stock two-tone gray and black seat on my '97, so I got a black ostrich seat from Sean Morley.

I know the bike I ride whatever one that is will have a Sean seat on it . I just have one seat and it travels from bike to bike .. For anyone that knows about the maxgasser Richard the owner is thinking about making another run on the maxgasser seat . He's looking for preorders ( no money exchanged at this point he's just seeing how many are interested in a maxgasser )

I had a upholstery pro build one for me with newer , reshaped wider foam and a huge leather piece I found in his shop. It wasn't cheap by any means , but I can run on it all day.

I invested in a second stock seat to send off to Morley's Muscle. The results were fantastic. Sean created a much more comfortable seat for me in what I believe he calls rhe "Big Boy". As a tall rider, the last thing I need is to sit lower in the saddle as most modified seats seem to achieve. This one is full height, widened front and back, stitched in red with the Vmax logo and finished complete with backrest pad in the Gen 2 style. The shame of it all is that as I am about to sell my 05, so I will also be listing the seat to sell separately from the bike.

Same here. A late friend of mine got the Star Rider Performance seat. It was a really nice seat but it dropped the height nearly 2 inches.

I felt like I was sitting on a tricycle with my knees around my ears. Of course, he was 5' 9" and I'm 6' 1", so for him it was a great move.

At 6'6" I tend to look like a bear on a skateboard on most bikes I ride, so lowering a seat is never an option for me! 😆 I used to have a Goldwing for my touring bike. A truly amazing machine, but nowhere for my legs. I bought a new Venture TC a couple years ago. It is now my go-to bike. Never thought I'd ride a big air cooled Vtwin with running boards, but it is easily the most comfortable bike I've ever owned. I am still keeping my 15 Vmax for the hooligan rides when I'm out for some fun on a solo ride.

How much are you asking for the seat and the backrest?

I ran the stock seat for a few years, tried the Corbin and then bought the Morley mid cut seat, the step up and rear seat shaved down as well and absolutely love the look and it is so much more comfortable

That is a nice looking seat. I bought a Holeshot Corbin seat which changes the look but it is very comfortable. I can ride for hours or until I need gas, and not sore at all.

I tried Corbin seats on my Vmax's twice over the years. Why I fell for it a second time I can't explain, but I had no luck with them. Way too hard, low and uncompromising of a riding position for me personally. My wife on the other hand had a Holeshot Corbin on her GSX650F and loved it. Like you, she could ride all day on it. Seats are so subjective to the rider that trial and error seems to be the best bet for finding the right one, all the while actively draining your bank account!
