Ok. Getting ready for my Holeshot exhaust system installation. Waiting for the ceramic coating to be completed. The shop is the best in Phoenix and they are booked solid. Couple more weeks and they should be done.

But if anybody has any tips that worked on removing the mufflers off the factory head pipes, I am all ears. I have tried heat, much hammering, and at least two busted knuckles. Yes, I have thrown a few four letter words into the mix as well as inventing a couple of new ones. Also yes to the removal of the single center bolt by the resonator.

I am literally about to pull out my Dewalt Sawzall to finish the job. That would be a shame since the system is very usable for someone who might be looking for one.

So, more heat? More hammering? More four letter words? All of the above? Again, if I wasn’t trying to preserve this pipe for posterity, it would already be off there.
