Thanks to the manual and posts/members in here got it all done.

Gearwrench puller worked and 12.9 class 100mm long M8x1.25 bolts and grade 8 thick washers along with my new cheapie (but damn good) $115 Earthquake air impact 1/2 in (1200 ft-lbs reverse and 1000 ft-lbs forward) from Harbor Freight got the job done. Cleaned up everything new bolts new starter clutch new gaskets...red loctite and put them in a solid 20 ft-lbs and peened the back of bolts. Changed the oil and cleaned the race filter and rode a couple times today. Got 7 yamahas in the garage and this one is so hard NOT to take most places lol...

I call that, "a good start."

Glad you're back in the saddle, think of all the $ you saved.

Re. The peening.

This is to deform the end of the bolts so they won't undo?

So using a centre punch placed between the bolt and metal it screws into, a few taps with a hammer to make an indent, would do it?

Yes, that's correct.
