Last time I seen that Hayabusa was in Muncie Indiana about 2 years ago.
The uncle of the owner of the bike lives in IN. He brought that bike to south Florida to fix it at our mutual friend's shop. I watched it being torn-apart and repaired. Once the repairs were done, he brought it back to IN and delivered it to his nephew. It was built for Shaquille O'Neal when he was playing for the Orlando Magic, before he played for the Miami Heat.

Here's a pic of the uncle's Hyabusa, (the silver one) which was built and campaigned out of our mutual friend's shop. He ran it bracket racing and won $ with it. I think he dialed an 8.90 second e.t.

Here is another Hyabusa campaigned out of the shop.

The red Hyabusa is a brand-new bike brought in for the addition of a full exhaust and some tuning.

This white Hyabusa with a ginormous turbo put out 550 RWHP on a local dyno, it was a shop build.

Lots of electronics. It builds different amounts of boost depending upon what gear it's in and the rpm. It has a lock-up clutch, I think it's an MTC. Of course it's got a quick-shifter.

Many of the fellas on this site have given me many mod ideas over the years. I like the look of a stock VMax, the mods you decide to do should be in taste of the original design.
I have began my upgrades to my 3rd max, an 05. Trial and error has led me to the following upgrades that help bring the bike up to a comfortable ride for myself. I Lowered the bike 2 inches, front and rear with Progressive, I am a shorter rider, so lower feels more comfortable, aluminum motor mounts, Renthal flat track handlebars, the bars shortened 1.5 inches on either end and then bored out 1.5 internally to accept bar mirrors. I found it difficult to find mirrors that I didn’t have to drop my shoulder to look back, so I wanted to try these this season and see if it is an improvement or not. I had my seat cut down and re shaped, as well as the rear seat. I added a few things from Exactrep, aluminum water pump pipe, LED headlamp, coolant hoses, spark plugs and wires, all red because the bike is red with ghost flames. I also had the plastics hydro dipped to refresh the look, a subtle pattern that pops in the sun, it looks nice.
I run a 180 on the rear, always have on all 3 bikes and never had any problems with fit or handling, I do like having a 120 up front rather than the 110, I feel the 120 is more stable but not many choices out there for that size, I run either Metzler or the Commander 2, Avon is too soft, and I am not as crazy as I used to be. I also am adding a full Delkovic exhaust, a carbon fibre, short round pipe with 3” hole and probably going to remove the baffles.
Next season I am planning on a stage 7, possibly a Morley, forward controls are a possibility as well. I have had thought on adding a Dyna ignition. I would love to hear any feedback, especially on the stage 7 and dyna ignition upgrade.

Who makes that adjustable brake lever? Do they make an adjustable clutch lever as well?

Hey, I got those on Amazon, I purchased a similar pair for a friends max, but they sucked, loose and didn’t fit right, so I looked a little more and for a few more bucks found these ones, and they fit very nice, both brake and clutch, both adjustable🤙

Looks like there are non in stock. Cost was $165.30 + taxes.

AVDB in France are the original makers of this style of lever as far as I'm aware. I have a pair and they are excellent, they were about 30 euros each I think, plus freight.
I'm sure there are plenty of other manufacturers out there......
