I saw an ad for one of these, and thought after seeing their website, it could prove to be an acceptable alternative to a trailer. Small enough to put in your car truck, you could easily store and use it. A disadvantage is that your rear bike tire has to be not flat. Still, for getting your bike to the shop, or wherever, you wouldn't have the $ of a trailer or the hassle of storing, insuring or licensing it.

Another alternative is the 'trailer in a bag,' which is expensive, but is a 't'-shaped sleletal 1-rail trailer which is also small enough to disassemble and to transport in a car trunk. They are NOT cheap! Over $1700, which can buy you a heckuva used trailer off your local craigslist.

Still, these are easily-stored alternatives to allow you to easily move your bike without having to struggle to get it up a ramp into your pickup bed, or the problem of storing a traditional trailer.
