What should the triple clamp bolts be torqued to? Second, what type of bearings,( ball, roller ), are the steering bearings?
Thanks.
Jack.

its in the service manual, i wanna say like 20 ft lbs, but chedk first.

The bearings are tapered bearings. Not sure which torque you are referring to, but the triple clamp torque values are:

Lower fork clamp: 17ft lb

Upper fork clamp: 14ft lb

Steering nut (directly under the handlebar, but on top of the trees: 17ft lb

Castle nut (directly under the top triple clamp): Disregard the service manual and do a search on this site for the correct procedure (known as the "bounce test"). The service manual torque is too light for the castle nut which will usually result in headshake.
