You missed out! The fastest street car on the planet showed up! He ONLY went 7.45 @ 189 compared to his previous best at 6.80's @ 211.

Was a lot of fun anyway!

That is badass. I could really kick myself. I just got tickets to the T-Town Throwdown and I'm pretty excited about it, but just doesn't make up for missing this one.

Fastest in the US maybe. Was it a63' Vette or a Nova? There are a few 6 sec street cars out there (I like the vette the best, it is a sweet, twin snailed 600+ci beauty). But, in the UK, there is a guy claiming his Vauxhall runs 6.5 @220 and is licensed and street legal. The kicker is 0-60 in a sec. Talk about plant your ass in the seat acceleration :biglaugh:

Gthe six second nova was an 1/8th mile. Not that fast actually. This was in fact a 66 nova (I had thought it was a 67) owned and built by Larry Larson. It's been 6.80 @ 211.

He went on our cruise which was 60 miles (30 miles each way) with no problems at all. It is faster then the vette.

Thats the nova I was referring to, I posted the wrong vid. The competition last year, was the cars had to drive from racetrack to racetrack (about 1000 miles) then the low ET was crowned the victor.

I think we had an even better sleeper there. early 80's ldt 4 door. It was very quiet and didn't have anything unusual on it (no fancy wheels or slicks). It ran a best of 10.25 on walmart tires.
