venture wheel

Is there a difference between a late 90s rear venture wheel and 1st gen vmax wheel ? can they be interchanged ? Reason I ask is I have a venture wheel laying around and am thinking of sending a wheel in to get the 17inch mod done. I like the looks of the venture wheel so if it would work I will ship it off.

While I do like the looks of the wheels, I might wish for some lighter ones. Especially if I do the chain drive conversion

My machinist uses a stock VMax wheel and mods it to either a 17" or an 18", the 17" is welded, the 18" is a bolt-up. They aren't cheap (the 17" is less-expensive), but since the wheel is a VMax hub, it's slip it in and ride. Wheels are 5-1/2" wide. First pic is a 17", second is an 18". PM for more info.
