Maybe has been discussed before - I did a search but the query I was coming up with didn’t yield much results…

I have a 1993 VMax 1200 - all stock minus a Corbin seat and a bad repaint 👎

The stock mufflers are getting a bit rusted on the bottoms and won’t be long rotting through.

I do not wish to do a full system on this bike - I would like to do just a pair of nice slip ons, and I have always been a fan of Hindle (local company to me and my shop is a supplier for them)

how close is the 1700 slip on exhaust to fitting the 1200 VMax ?

Many thanks

That exhaust system is for a Gen 2 (2009 - 2020). You could try to make it work but I wouldn't recommend it.

For a Gen 1 (1985 - 2007) Vmax you could look at Holeshot, Kerker, Supertrapp, etc.

There are tons of options out there that are straight up bolt-ons ready to go.

Edit to add: Delkevic makes a similar looking slip on system for the Gen 1 Vmax:
