Vmax front wheel conversion using R1/R6 wheel

I have heard that the R1/R6 wheel will fit on the front forks of my 1985 Vmax. Is this a reasonable conversion and what is involved? Thanks in advance for your response! Guy

I did it to mine and it is fairly easy to do though I have an aftermarket speedo.Get the wheel sitting central and machine spacers to suit.There is a writeup on the vmaxchat site and another on the Ozvmax site .I bought a couple of spacers from a wrecker and cut them down and used verniers and feeler gauges to make sure that everything lined up .I think it took a morning to do in a workshop.Kevman
