where to mount HID ballast?

anyone have a good suggestion on where to put it? i got one coming and can't figure out where to hid the thing.

You may find some space behind the airbox on top of ur CDI too.
But yes scoop is the easy way.

Be sure to shield it and the wire to the bulb.
High voltage AC and your TCI may not get along. Lotsa Noise of the kind that actually can cause a problem

I installed a small neon ballast for some lighting years ago and just turning it on would make the TCI flake out.

Yeah, behind the scoop / above the TCI (ignition box)
or below the TCI when you take out the coils after the COP conversion unk:

I stuffed mine up under the heat shield by the vboost motor, didn't like it under the scoop...

+1. That's what I did. Good point about noise Rusty. I didn't consider it. But it's been installed now for about 2 seasons with no problems....hope I didn't just jinx myself......
