I just bought a new 2007 V-Max and want a loud exhaust, which one should I go with? I was thinking of putting the black SuperTrapps slip-ons, but do they really sound good and do you have to rejet, etc? Or should I just go w/a full system. I want alot of noise but with the power gain to back it up. Any insight is appreciated....:ummm:

Definately Go with the full system if you can afford it.
It's hard to beat the sound and performance of a full kerker system.
Or if you want really loud, try the new ufo'S dragster series exhaust.

One way to go with this
NOISE
POWER
WEIGHT REDUCTION

Full Kerker 4-2-1 With a 2-5 Comp Baffle

Trust me your neighbors will love you when you start it up on a Sunday morning at 7AM
And your riding buddies will love it even more when you pass them on the left at around 10K RPMS:punk:

I would just buy the kerker and run it first without buying the jet believe it or not they run great until you crack the seals on the carbs
Get ready to dig in that back pocket its going to set you back about 8 bills but look at it this way I have had mine now for hmm 7 years and thats what 100 bucks a yr less than 10 bucks a month and all people I pissed off PRICELESS

Yea, the drag star is louder then the Kerker with comp baffle but I still like the Kerker.

Sean

Dragstar is loud.
I can attest that you will get many questions about what type of bike it is, etc., so if you dont want attention, go with the kerker...you can always change out baffles to suit your taste.

I have the Quadzilla's on my 03. Being in Hawaii i couldn't listen to other Maxes. The sound file on UFO's site seemed to have that V8 sound i was looking for so i ordered it. I love the way it sounds but a little to loud. I won't leave my house before 11am ( dont want to disturb my neighbors ) and when i'm at a red light the cars around me roll up their windows. Makes me feel bad.

That sounds like what I'm looking for. What about re-jetting and air filters, what's the best way to go? Also, I bought the extended warranty w/my bike, I wonder if this will void my warranty?

LOL.. that's great! I wouldn't feel bad about that, especially if they are listening to some crappy music. :punk:

Just talk to the dealer or who ever does your warrenty work, they will let you know what you can do. My dealer even removed my brass plugs for me and had no problems with my trapps or T-boost.

I think they might have issues with the N2O though.:biglaugh:

take your time and be wise with your decision. Many have had problems with the guy who runs ufo. This isnt to talk you out of it, as i was looking at them myself, just to pass on useful knowledge.

Isnt Cornball using yellow chrome. Wasnt it Hercules who replaced his John Cornball Yellow Chrome with some real chrome.
I hope them ufo pipes dont turn yellow

Hey it look its Ol Yellar

Trapps are the best sounding slip-ons IMO.
i would think with adding or subtracting disk,, you can get a lot of punch torque down low or a little extra up top .... i would think if its loud you want the open end cap would do the trick

I like my Dale Walker pipes. For me it was a toss up between marks(who would never all me back) UFO and Dale Walker. Dale Walker is such a great guy to deal with it made my decision easy.
