Hi everyone, glad to be a part of this group as a new vmax owner. I saw this VMAX the other day and loved this little mod. Does anyone know who makes this and/or where I can buy it?

I have these but I don't like them, if I press peg lightly with my hand it gives, so I dont feel comfortable to put my leg on it. If I hit bump etc. the stress is lot more, and I think in longer run it stresses the attaching points. In my world, foot pegs should withstand the weight of a rider standing on them, I'm not trying that on these. That would probably cause some damage to the engine case.

Yes, I know you don't stand on these, but if I could do it I would know any normal stress won't affect them. Rick Poirier had better design for more rigidity, on those I believe I could stand on.

Maybe these would be better with tighter bushes, what comes with these has (too) big inner dia -> thin walls -> flimsy. Although I don't know if snug 10/5 mm bushes would do any better without testing.

I have these peg mounts on mine along with the addition of some offsets to allow for adjustability. If you're long legged, the mounts alone will still be uncomfortable for you, but the offsets make them a great purchase. The pegs included are just inexpensive and low quality. I added a set of pegs from Rivco for a more finished look and broader rubber topped peg surface. I agree that I wouldn't want to try to stand on these mounts, but that is not what they are designed for. They are footrests to allow you a more comfortable highway ride, and as such, I find they are adequate. Some better, tighter spacers sounds like a good idea for sure. I should have traced kine before installation as duplicating another set would be simple. Be prepared for the price as they certainly aren't cheap!

Let's have some things straight here !
I won't depromote any competitors product , but i will promote my product .
My pegs are designed to give you relaxing riding position when you are on the highway and you want to stretch your legs,
proved by nearly more then 800 happy Gen2 Vmax riders around the globe , now about the people saying my product is flimsy
and gives in by hand pushing ,obviously they don't own one of my products or trying to promote other highway pegs ,
my pegs are mounted so forward which there is no chance to pull your body up from that position , when you resting your legs
on them you put only 5 to 8 percent of your body weight ,so there is no really heavy load to stress the engine case .
On the attached photo number 1 you can see clearly im standing with my whole body weight hands free on one of the pegs just to prove
they not flimsy at all , on the photo number 2 shows with a yellow arrow where you will be standing if you ever manage to pull your body
up on the pegs while you riding and on the photo number 3 this is how you will end up on the bike finding your self siting over the faux
tank or air filter cover with your knees pushing against the steering handle , i don't see very often people ride like that . Just have a look in to my Facebook page ( Vmax Gen2 Highway pegs ) to see all the happy Gen2 owners comments
Thanks . Jim

To add to Jims product. We had one come through that had been crashed with the pegs added and it did not rip out the engine case and ruin the block. In fact I don't think it even hurt the cover. It did not save other damage but it is not advertised to do that anyway. We straightened them out, re-powdercoated them and as good as new again.

That is the best endorsement I can think of. Hopefully I will never have the chance to confirm it with mine.

I’m hoping my wife got the hint when I sent her the link and told her that I really really want these pegs for Christmas! I think they look sleek and would be a perfect addition to my Vmax. I was riding yesterday in 40 degree weather and I got what I call the Vmax cramp, outside hip area, could really have used these pegs then. Lol if any orders have been placed to an area near Cleveland Ohio recently let me know, lol otherwise all my gifts are going back and I’ll order them myself. Im getting them one way or another, just hope it’s sooner than later.
