Today I had my new Metzler 880's mounted on my bike. I went with the 170/80/15 rear and stock measurement front.

It's like riding a different bike. Feels like I'm a couple of inches higher, but handling is GREATLY improved. The front wobble is gone. Everything feels better.

You know when your wife tells you its time to buy new shoes, but you really like the ones you have....until you try on the new ones and look at your crappy old ones? It's like that. Put your old stock tires in the box and upgrade to the metzlers if you already haven't.

Thanks for all the great suggestions from this site. If it weren't for you guys I'd be putzing around on stock tires. :bang head:

I just did exactly the same change. It took all of 5 feet to prove it was the right choice. That's how long it took to feel the difference. I still have a Metzler 150 on the 89 but someday it's going to the 170 also...
