Yamaha tail pack

I think Yamaha has a typo on their site so I don't know the expanded size of the taipack. Here's the quote:

"A concealed expansion joint allows the capacity to increase from 325 cubic inches to 450 cubic inches. "

But then two pics show it expanding by a factor of 5 or more.

I Got the low passenger backrest / luggage rack combo but the platform is a lot smaller than it looks.

Yeah I got sucked into the same false advertisement on the backrest and rack. The rack won't even hold a six pack of beer and my ol' lady's big ass slides over the back rest when I dump the clutch at 6,000 RPM and the lil wheel up front points skyward. I am modifying the back rest by extending in higher with a plate of brushed aluminum, raises it up by 4 inches, but the "rack" might go.

Collapsed 3.5"
Expanded 7"
