I have had a few bikes, I have been ridding on and off since 1975 or so.
I started on a Honda SL 70 and used it like a dirtbike. Stripped lights and all off of it.

Thanks for all the replies, I bought my vmax because I have loved them since I saw the first on back in 1985. I was finally able to buy one about 3 yrs ago. I have mine as an everyday rider mostly back and forth to work. I don't ride like most vmax riders seems to ride that I have read about in...

Thanks Sean I plan to dive in this weekend. I feel much better about taking this adventure for a ride. Love doing my own work have just never worked on forks before Here I go.
That idea had crossed my mind. Just wanted someone to tell me I wasn't crazy. Is there any way get the oil out of the forks without removing the Allen bolt in the bottom of the fork. The reason I ask is I have had a leak for sometime and I have no clue how much oil is in each fork.
I have looked in several threads about fork issues and I keep seeing a reference to a video about fork work. Where can I get this video or is there a link to the video?
I am planning to replace my oil seals on an 02 vmax. So thinking the video would help.
Is it possible to remove the oil seals on the forks of my 02 vmax without disassembling the forks. I only want to replace the seals not rebuild the whole system. Help
