Hey guys! I went on the cheap for now (can't afford a new seat). Any tips you could provide for installing the new covers would be great. Also, I have figured out how to remove the center seat, with the hex bolt that attach them? They don't seem to want to come out and I don't want to wreck...

My issue was resolved. It turned out to be the turn signal/starting cutoff relay, 41r-71. Tested it by shorting out black/yellow to the ground and no starter relay click. Further checking after taking the relay cover off showed that connection to be completely eroded. $45 on eBay for a used...

Hi there, I found it, the diode switch; right where you said it would be. I still haven't had a chance to check out the oil level switch; did you short it out to get the bike to start with the button? My oil light only comes on when I push the button. Thanks for the reply!

Excellent!!! Next up on my list! BTW, the starter button connection was perfect; I just checked it.

Same issue with my 85 guys! Let me know if you get it resolved. I'm leaning towards the starter button connections. BTW, where is the diode? I can't seem to find it and the bike was in parts when I got it. Cheers!

Anyone know where to get a brass pressed plug that goes into the carb housing where the needle valve sits? The previous owner knocked it out while trying to rebuild the carbs and I can't see them on the parts listing. Attached a pic to see the gaping hole left behind after his handywork. :bang...

I figured it out; not sure why the kit came with a 90 but it needs a 150. I'll replace the paj1 with them.

Hi All, i just bought an 85 vmax (my second) and the carbs were already off; someone started rebuilding them. My question is this, the keyster kit comes with a 90 main jet which looks way smaller than the one currently in the carbs. It looks like more of a match for the PAJ1 but the kit...
