    Front End Born Again!

Cool. I'll see about getting a small run going when I get back in the shop after the 4th of July.

    Sidecar....yes really...

There's no reason to modify either. All you need is a means of mounting that doesn't risk or harm the structural integrity of your chassis. It's important that the sidecar wheel be properly aligned so that the bike retains neutral steering. Remember, it may be cool, but execution is critical. A...

OE Style 18" wheel options - Experience?

I am inching closer to pulling the trigger on a rear wheel for my 2003 Vmax. I currently have the OE machine finish/clear coated wheels. I am looking at the rear, alone, because I just don't have a budget of $2k+. I can swing something south of $1500, though, so this leaves me sorting out a set...

A must when bringing home a new bike to the stable!!!

Better set a couple mousetraps in your garage, too.

What did you do to your Vmax today? Part 2

I washed my bike for the first time in a year! I also installed a Ram X-Grip phone mount and a battery tender harness with the USB adapter and cable to power my phone. Awesome mount!

    Progressive monotube cartridge kit

My point is this: If progressive has the components necessary to "adapt" a Harley model, they have the components to simply offer a Vmax specific product. They say additional models are on the way. You can wait, or you can ask them directly. All anyone here can do is speculate. At present, only...

    Progressive monotube cartridge kit

Short answer is no. Whether they "fit" or not, the spring rates and valving are optimized for HD applications. If you wish to go all out for cartridge forks, why not have proper engineering?

    Front End Born Again!

Rob, If I can get a few orders, I can do them at $35 a set, plus postage. I need to have ten sets made to manage that price. Compared to the simple spacers that Race Tech sells for $20 plus UPS shipping, that's a deal! email me at [email protected] if you're interested.

    Front End Born Again!

Rob, I'll find out. Mars, you may not need them. Redbone, I had seen that before. Good stuff. I am headed down the same path as you.

    Front End Born Again!

I was planning a play by play when I did the install, but it was a comedy of errors, so here's a run down of the meaningful part. My 2003 Vmax had about 4200 miles on it when I purchased it. While it had no crash history, it did have tale tale signs that it had fallen over in the garage or...

hope for a 15" rear radial

Good catch. Their icons indicate that the line includes radials. I should have read the fine print.

hope for a 15" rear radial

There is a new radial line from Michelin that includes several 15" sizes, Commander II. It's said to have a stiffer sidewall construction for improved handling and ultra long tread life... http://motorcycle.michelinman.com/tires/michelin-commander-ii#perf

    Rear wheel lift

You can tilt the bike onto the side stand until the wheel is off the ground, then support it with a stand under the right side frame tube, rear foot peg mount or swing arm. It's quite easy if you sit on the floor to the right of the rear wheel, pushing away with your left hand while positioning...
