Hey Cliffclaven! Is the oval backrest pretty sturdy? I just need to know if someone leans back it doesn't bend backwards. From the pictures it appears the Yamaha sissy bar with backrest is a more sturdy setup but probably not as comfortable.

Not sure what you are trying to say...is it $180 or $100? I also pourchased the 5 year YES warranty. Is it part of that warranty?

If it is going to void the warranty I can't see how this would be remotely worth doing.

What exactly does the dealer do to the bike for the 600mile checkup? Is something that is covered or is it something I will need to pay for?

Can someone please explain what exactly needs to be done to the bike to remove the CAT? do I need a new exhaust and a reflash? What is the total cost?

Installed the new PUIG windshield. I took it for a ride and it deflects the wind very nicely and even looks like it belongs.

is there supposed to be covers on the front brakes? The bike is brand new so it seems odd that they would be missing.

What is the cost of the MAXRelaxers? Are they still available?

I live in the greater Chicagoland area so gas stations are never a problem but something to consider if I ever think about taking a trip outside the state. I suppose I'll break it in like the Gen 1. I got 35,000 trouble free miles out of that one by varying the rpms for the first 1000 miles.

What is the best method of breaking the new engine in? for the first 200 miles I have been varying the rpm's from 4-9k on acceleration and cruising at around 4k. Not too much red line yet. I knew I wasn't going to get great gas mileage but the fuel light is going on after only 69 miles! I...
