    Forks not holding air.

    Yeah stock forks you can have from 5- 14.7 psi. I know the seals are not bad because I just did a complete overhaul of the forks. I think I am going to do the progressive spring upgrade, air in the forks just suck not too crazy about how it feels anyways. Thanks for the info guys.

    I've heard that before, where's the best place to get the progressive springs? and what all do I have to change out other than just the springs and the caps? how much fluid will be needed with the progressive springs too?

    I changed the seals in my forks due to one of them leaking but now they will not hold air pressure. I would put 10 p.s.i in them and it would leak out in the matter of a few hours.     As far as I know the float needles and seats have never been changed, I wondered the same thing, unfortunatley there are not stanped numbers on the seat or needle like there is on the jets.     Stock jets and block, a/f screws were at 2 1/4 turns out,stock setting, no mods just stock bike. The bike had some older ufo pipes on it that were extremely loud, I changed the pipes to stock, and in the carbs only the jet needle, and main jet had benn changed which I ended up putting back to stock.

    okay, I bent the float bowl tangs in as far as they would go and I finally reached the 17mm mark on the dot, but that makes no sense why I would have to bend them in all the way just to get that reading, maybe the floats are bad.

    Tried the casting circle in the jet block with the edge of the float deal, and it didn't work, my wet measurement showed lean. I had read on some past threads it didn't work for some other people too.

    Good advice, thanks. I cycled the fuel pump and the wet measurement finally matched up on the bike to my bench test. I still need to richen it up some more to reach 16mm , any idea why I am having to go so rich at measurement of 1.042 and about to go lower to reach wet specs.?
