Probably the #1 vintage event in south FL. Here's last year's poster. One of my friends who is a Yamaha dealership mechanic won several awards for his vintage bikes & the work on them. He's been a Yamaha mechanic since before the VMax was released. He can tune 'em too! Bill Boyce, Riva Motorsports, Pompano Beach.

The antique inline longitudinal four is a Belgian Fabrique National (FN) who are also manufacturers of some fine weapons, much-like BSA motorcycles were (Birmingham Small Arms, in the 1920's the largest motorcycle manufacturers in the world, their emblem is three rifles stacked-together to form a pyramid shape).

Looks like a fun show to attend. I don't think any of our Vmaxs would be in contention though, the newest bike to receive an award dated back to the 70s. I think in 2015 we will qualify since at that point the 85s can swap to an antique license tag.

There are some beautiful stock bikes that will make any baby boomer jealous. One guy had a Benelli Sei, a Kawasaki Voyager 6, and a CBX. 2950 cc & 18 cylinders. There were some not imported to the US 1960's/early 1970's Japanese racing bikes. One business showed-up w/a tractor-trailer full of pre-WW II American bikes, including 'teens.

Tomorrow is the day, Saturday Jan. 25. Last year Billy Joel was there & sang a couple of songs w/the vintage rock & roll band which was there.

This is an AMCA meet, and there are some rare and unrestored bikes there. This year's theme is 'café racers,' and I should have gotten something ready to enter. There's always next year...
