Another rear-radial noob thread

Greetings mentors,

I've been lurking the forums a lot, finally starting to figure some basic stuff out, and I keep running into 1) praise of radial tires 2) the reality that radials don't fit on a 15" wheel, and 3) various questionably-still-viable ways to get a 17" or 18" rear wheel.

As of now (September 2016), UFO appears to be shut down, and I'm unclear who is still in biz that can make a VMax 17" or 18" rear wheel.

Sorry to beat around a dead horse-bush, but what are my options to switch to radials now (2016)? It appears I MIGHT be able to send my wheel to be refitted, and I might even be able to just order a new rear wheel and have it sent to whomever can do this.

I have an 18" available now. Making a 17" is probably a 4 week wait.

17's are hard to find these days. 18's is mostly what I sell (RC's and some other designs we're currently working on).
