Do I need to have the risers if I want to install drag bars? Will it change the overall appearance?

Also - I have a weak shoulder, will different bars put more strain on it?

thanks bonrack

I have drag bars without risers but it is close to hitting the faux tank at full lock. For me the fit is perfect, it puts my upper body in a slightly forward position which help me "lean" into the wind. My elbows are slighty bent and is comfortable enough to ride over 1100 miles in 3 days without needing to see a chiropractor when I arrived home. I suspect my Morley Muscle seat might have had something to do with the comfort too. :thumbs up:

Diddo! I have the Flanders bars and they work great. I can angle them to make my shoulders and wrists line up perfectly. IMO it's the only way to go.
