Hi Vmaxer's !!! Cat install ?

So I just purchased a Gen 2 Vmax , and it has a horrendous aftermarket exhaust on it ! I have a stock cat and mufflers to put on it , the question I have is ? How is the flap in the stock cat adjusted ? or were do the 2 cables need to be set for proper operation ? I have tried searching the site , lots of info about removal ?

Does anyone know what the flap in the cat is suppose to do ? is it like the Euro cars to warm the cat faster ? does it help with engine braking ? what is it's operation ? understanding it's function ? would help with setting it up ?

Isn't the name of it the EXUP from Yamaha? Not quite sure, but look into this direction

I don't know it is unbranded ? was on the bike when I purchased it ,
