I took my bike out for a little ride a couple of days ago and it started and rode fine but when I went out to start it just a few mins. ago, something happened.
When I turned the ignition switch on. the ignition fuse in the little box blew like a sparkler. so I put in another one and it did the same, I have full power to the rest of the bike (lights, horn, fan and signals) but when I hit the starter button, nothing happens and fhe fuse is blown again.
My bike has never done this before and it is something that happened out of the blue. so, naturaly I`m confused.:ummm::ummm::confused2::bang head::damn angry::ummm:

Your start switch is just a contact to ground.
Check the hot wire to the solenoid for a short.

Edit: NM I was thinking of my seca. I don't know if the start button is direct ground on the Max or not.

I solved this one.
The wires to the #2 cop had been badly pinched by the left scoop so, thats what I get for having wires too long.
When I turned the key on, it caused a direct short and blew the fuses.
