Yes, if you look at the thread, it is pictured on my bike with the OEM seat.

No, that's not the OEM backrest. It's actually from a Honda, (less expensive than the OEM Yamaha backrest) and I made mounting brackets for it and then made the rack. The rack is solid aluminum, not tubing, and is super strong. The brackets are 11-gauge plate steel - cut out, bent, drilled and powder coated to match the OEM grab rail. They mount to bolts existing under the passenger seat. If anyone wants a similar setup, I would consider supplying the entire assembly.
