Just got back from a short trip to Washington. I was lucky to see Mt. Rainier with perfect visibility! Just a day prior to this a couple I met said they went there and literally saw nothing due to bad air quality.
I wasn't so lucky with Mt. St Helens - all I could see is the outline but no details.
This trip is not far from Vancouver, BC. I'm writing this to highly recommend making this trip! The roads leading to both places, the Rainier National Park road, have many, many curves and very little traffic. At least right now. And they are mountainous. Just perfect for the power of Vmax and those who like leaning a lot.
Just a couple photos from this short trip. Needless to say, I am quite happy how the 'chicken strips' turned out!
