Odyssey PC 680 Question

Just got my first PC 680 battery. The question: there's about 1/2 inch of space on either side of the battery when centered in the holder. Do you guys put some padding in there or do you find the strap holds it in place effectively?

I was thinking of cutting up some of the padding it came in and filling in those areas while I have the entire container out but don't know if that will cause issues if I have to replace it later.

I used thin styrofoam pieces to take up that space.
Cardboard pieces would probably work ok too.

Yes, you need to keep it from shifting its position. I think closed-cell foam is good for that. You probably have some scrap lumber around, just rip whatever you need off a 2x4.

Use closed cell foam pipe wrap any hardware store has it
