I ended up buying a used Hyperpro steering stabilizer and didn't like the color of it, so I stripped it! I found out you can just go to Lowes and pick up some stuff in the cleaning section called "greased lightening" . It comes in a yellow jug and is about $8. I purchased a small clear plastic container and placed the items in that I wanted strip ( I disassembled the stabilizer).
It was amazing how you can watch the little bubbles coming off the parts. After about 2 hours I pulled out the parts and scrubbed them with an old tooth brush. It was crazy to say the least..:eusa_dance:

Perhaps I'm being a bit thick here but how would a picture add to this thread?
IMHO Gannon's description perfectly described the process!
