THUNDER!In 4 days I will be enroute to Southern Ontario to begin the ride to Thunder! I want to thank Trevor for putting me up (or putting up with me!:biglaughon Tuesday evening! :thumbs up: :thumbs up:
I can't wait to get on the road Tuesday morning as I'm taking a senic ride down the east coast of the lower peninsula of Michigan which should be a nice ride along Lake Huron during the AM hours. The rest of the weeks ride should only get better as I join up with more and more Vmax brothers and sisters!

I've travelled most of Michigan's coastlines along the Great lakes. Lake Michigan is beautiful but way out of my way this time as I'm headed to Port Huron and into S. Ontario, I'm sure I'll hit the Lake Michigan side a time or two this summer.
US 23 along Lake Huron should be a nice ride during the morning hours so I can watch the sun coming up over the lake.
I cannot wait to see all my Vmax brothers and sisters of the VMOA at Thunder!

Looks like rain Wednesday, chances of isolated T-storms the Thurs - Sat. You riding or trailing? Im glad I went with trailing up there!

I am going to add my rain pants in case it's raining hard enough that my riding pants will not be enough. With any luck the predicted weather will break for the weekend!:eusa_pray:

The weather here has been hit and miss storms. If it does start to rain just take cover till it passes, it usually only lasts 10-20 minutes then the sun comes back. The good thing is a cold front is coming in towards the end of the week bringing tempts down into high 70's low 80's. I really hate the hot and humidity. Be safe all

Next time your in Pork Huron or planning to cruise the 'thumb' let me know Im just north of detroit and be happy to make a cruise of it.
Was really Hoping to make thunder, but I tore the cartilidge in my left knee chasing the kids around this weekend, and can barely walk, doc says Ive got to stay off it at least a week, and If it hasnt started to improve by then, Im probably looking at surgery.
BTW having a 4" needle stuck in your knee feels fucking weird.

Sounds good Bill, I know the area well as i used to live in Flushing for over 15 years.
And I also know about the needle into the knee thing, I had to have some fluid drawn off once and I couldn't believe how far he was pushing it into my knee!

Redbone, did you find a switch for your fan switch? I have a bunch of nice small ones here at the house that would work great for a fan switch if you need one.

I may not end up needing it since the dyno run and the parade run at the same time. I have some on order but they haven't arrived.:bang head:
We should be arriving on Thursday midday from Punxutawney, looking forward to riding on some PA roads!

Why? Our roads suck worse than pretty much every other state I've ever been in.... they are full of potholes or road construction......lol. get on one of the rides I will be leading, it will be a nice scenic ride with lots of twists and turns and a few get on it spots along the way. Im not gonna be trying to get a speeding ticket the entire time.
If anyone would want to have a bonfire, I live up on top of the mountain on 3 acres where nobody will care how loud we get. Lemme know if anyone is interested.

My roads are fairly straight with not much in the way of elevation changes but we do have furry friends to keep the excitement (fear?) level up there though!:biglaugh:

I replied, I don't know why you didn't get them. Anyway I can lead any of them on friday and Saturday. Lemme check back through my email but I know I replied to someone about leading rides.
Anyway, I repied on the 16th at like 8:33 am. Here was my reply.
Mike, I can lead any of the runs on friday. Either the scenic ride or gravity hill and also I can lead the group up the where the open flat spot on the higway is for the speed run since its about 1 mile from my house. I can also take a group out saturday after lunch if you want. I wont be speeding (to much) on any group I lead so as long as everyone knows that its just gonna be a nice cruise I don't mind taking a group out at all any times. Sent from Yahoo! Mail on Android
