Early production bikes and cars are typically built the year before the actual model year.

My 1985 was built late in 1984.
Earliest date would be sometime in June normally but I think these were not issued as early as normal.
#583 (my 2009 Battlestar bike) was made 11/08
#358 (my gen 2 engine test chassis bike) I don't have immediately available to see what date it was but it would be a little earlier.
#? (my 2009 chaindrive bike) I also don't have immediately available to see the date. I'll have to get all that info where I can access it easier lol.
