No its not leaking oil. It did have the second gear issue. My friend Damon straightened that problem. i got the motor from Damon a couple years ago. you may know of him from the forum . He also builds stock motors for UFO.

I did as you suggested, If I get right on it in 2nd it doesnt slip. If I go real easy or normal it doesnt do it either . Only when I get on it a little bit more than normal . But when it happens it does fell like slipping. Kind of sucks.

I have an 86 with an 01 motor. Sometimes shifting to 2nd I get neutral or it pops out of gear, I think thats just me shifting. Is that a common problem? Also when in 2nd gear my vboost seems to kick in and out randomly at various RPMs, sometimes feels harsh on the drivetrain. Only in 2nd gear...

May have found the answer to my problem. The tube i have been referring to is the vent/rollover line. I believe there is a check valve in the end of the tube where the hose connects. Not sure if it will cause any issues but I am not going to drill it. Instead I will try not to free up the valve...

I was advised to get some POR 15 and recoat my tank. There was a lot of crap in it. Glad I did it. It was a pretty easy process, following the instructions and a lot of rolling the tank around. The only problem I have is there are 2 places to connect hoses, one is obviously the fuel supply...

Definitely looking forward to a ride with some of the Michiganders. Got a few minor details to wrap up this winter to have it ready for spring.
