Sean, I suspected as much but didn't know for sure, looking at a DJ190 in my PAJ2, I put it next to the mikuni 170 and the mikuni looks to have a bigger orifice or vice versa but I see where most all on here are running the M 170 in the PAJ2., like you say though, they are measured different...

Is there a difference in fuel (main) jets vs air jets? or are they one in the same just different sizes and makes, mikuni/DJ, Thanks.

How long did it take to get to this point ? when you open the hood on a Ford diesel it looks like a road map of wires and hoses, how many radiators?

I was having trouble getting a good sync, when blipping the throttle, two carbs were raising before the other two and on two tubes the fluid was jumping while the other two stayed steady, then I read the motion pro trouble thread and realized I forgot about the correctors in the hoses and yes...

Craaaappp, I forgot about the restricters, each hose has one but I forgot about them all together so I without a doubt had the restricters on the wrong ends of one or more hoses which means my carbs are not in sync, another Senior moment.

I grew up on Dualsports and still love them but thats what I sold to buy the VMax, my thinking was I'd rather have the Max until I can afford another DS, there are so many places to explore around here that it's a crime not to own a street legal dirtbike.

I removed the sissy bar/backrest and custom seat in favor of the OEM grab bar and seat, already sold the backrest so I can't go back, {the wife wont ride unless she can drive and I'm not riding on back} the stock seat sits a little higher than the custom that was on it, made my knees sit higher...

Why did it take so long for many of us who have been riding for years and have had dozens of bikes to finally get a VMax? Me for one, I've admired them since they first came out, did I forget about them every time I wanted a new bike, I might contribute it to "out of site, out of mind" as there...
