My bike has the kerker exhaust with the 1 3/4" baffle. I love the sound but was thinking of going with the 2" or the 2 1/2". I usually run with the baffle out and just the end cap with the 1 3/4" opening. With the baffle in my bike bogs down, it feels like to much restriction and loads it up...

MONDAYS SUCK !!! :-(
I wanted to pass along some info on this filter upgrade. I had to modify the cross member and the engine filter boss to accomplish but I can re-use this filter over and over. Here's a link to their website for the filter. http://www.trufilter.com/ If there's interest in this, I'll detail what I...
there seem to be a lot of posts on the oil filters for 96+ but I cannot track down part numbers for 85 - 95 oil filters. any takers? a list of brands?
I know K&N is KN-146
I took my filter off and it is, indeed, very dirty (thank you Seafoam!). However, there are no identifying characteristics on it. Anybody know the p/n? Is there a suitable replacement I can grab at an auto parts store?
Thanks, Jay
Can someone tell me the poop on K & N filters? I"ve had a couple of people tell me that I should not use a K & N filter on a stock bike because it will lean out the bike and make it run hotter!!! :ummm:
Hey guys, I have an 06 that's basically stock with the above changes, I'm wondering before I go an drill the caps to get at the A/F screws..Do you think I could be running a little rich with that setup??
IF so, would backing off the A/F screws lean it out throughout the throttle range or just...
For my bike has RT-1 slip-ons but is otherwise mechanically stock as far as the engine goes. It's time for a new air filter. I don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on upgrades, but maybe up to $150 would be okay.
Should I just get a stock replacement filter, or a K&N drop-in filter, or...
:ummm:I was wondering if the stock air filter is a serviceable unit i.e. can it be cleaned. How often should an air filter be replaced? How can you determine that it needs replacement?
Has this ever happened to anyone ? I changed the oil and filter and when I started the bike to check for leaks, low and behold there was a drip. I then tighten it a little and checked and did it again, but I guess I over did it and a small piece of the casting broke off. It was about half an...
Got my Vmax last Sunday and decided to check the fluid levels and clean out the filter. When I took off the cover I could see some oil at the bottom of the housing. Not puddles but enough for me to dirty up a rag a bunch getting it out. there was no oil on the filter itself. Is there something I...

This is a cheap mod to tidy up the rear diff breather ,
it has no functional use , just cosmetic.
buy a crankcase breather from an auto spares shop or Ebay...
Anyone have one they may want to part with or recommend a fast vendor to purchase one from. This maybe the first thing I get for my bike off the internet. So I rather pay a few bucks more than be waiting 6months to get it. , I bet getting the stock filters, will be pretty hard to get. You guys...
