I've mentioned Factory casting of aluminum parts and the apparent quality differences I've come across while Powdercoating parts. Some are well done, some look like tired molds or just made on a Monday.
Well look at these two crown pieces.
Look like whole different molds to me. I guess I never compared two side by side. Maybe one is from a different Yamaha model altogether.
Just something new to me I guess. Ignore the three holes drilled in the one, that is a user mod by the way.
When in doubt...Gas it !!!
