Do the CDI units go out pretty regularly on these machines?

After my fun with short-finding this week, I'm wondering what else electrical tends go belly-up....

I don't think so but with everyone doing the COPs mod and a few Dyna3k frying, I thought some1 might wanna have a backup 'just in case'
At that price it'd almost be silly not to, and I have one already from my spare bike.

Also bear in mind the one listed is the earlier type, that fits model years 85-89.

The one on my 85 was causing my sidestand switch not to work. Jeff sent me a spare he had and when I installed it my sidestand switch started working. It was very odd....
