I have a 1997 VMAX. I was going to change it out with a 2007 VMAX engine. From the pictures the motor mounts look exactly in the same positions on my 97 bike. I just wanted to make sure if anyone knew if it was an exact fit before I purchased the engine. Thank you for your time.

Yes, have at it.

Just remember to sufficiently tighten all the fasteners, to avoid moments like this:

Straight swap-only different is a black glossy motor to a black satin one---dielectric grease is your best best.
