does any body know if its safe to take a test ride a 1/2 mile without any forkbrace? I got my bike all back together except waiting on my forkbrace to com?

You're OK for a bit but keep in mind that it's there for a reason. Make doubly sure that everything is tight though and DO NOT rail it through any corners. Slow and easy...

Chris

I as well as the VMF are not liable for anything that may happen whilst ridding without a fork brace.

It will be fine for simple road tests for sure. You could even ride permanently without it but you won't have nearly as good a handling as it will have with it. The fork brace helps to stiffen the forks and reduce the flex area. Aftermarket braces fit much tighter then stock and as such do an even better job.

We didn't even install one on the drag Fazer for probably 3 years and were seeing trap speeds into the 140's.
