Long story short, I ended up with 2 brand new sets of slip-ons and have to pick one and send the other back. Unfortunately, I have to pick before installation.

Bike is a bone stock 2004 with 2500 miles. It does have a K&N filter installed, AFAIK that's all that's been done. I'd prefer to not rejet at this time.

I've listened to countless videos and like both. Although I run into some that sound very different. Probably due to the recording. There seems to be far more with the trapps to gauge from. The Kerker's have more of the 4 into 1 floating around, few with the 4>2 slip-ons.

The trapps were more expensive by a couple of hundred so I'd save money not going with them. The bits to retune them are kind of expensive. A single end cap is $45 alone and everything has to be done in pairs. I think they came with enough disks to not have to buy any more of those at the moment.

The Kerker's are what they are, not much tinkering I can do AFAIK. I hesitate with them as they were listed as being for 85-93 but Sean Morley said they should fit fine (he was not the seller). They're NOS so maybe they're that old where at the time that's as high as the year went? As stated, they were also a couple of hundred cheaper.

Thoughts, opinions, advice?

MY opinion, it's your aesthetic sense. You have to listen to them, which do you like better from youtube sessions? What pair looks better to you? There isn't any difference in performance between them.

I'll keep my preference to myself, choose the one which you assign the highest overall value to. Again, you realize no difference in performance between them.

LOL, well... yeah but I can't make up my mind so I'm literally soliciting opinions :) Hit me.

I like the sound of the super traps best. However unlike most who seem to focus on how our bikes sound at idle I prefer to gauge the exhaust note at wide open throttle ripping past 7000 rpm. That’s the sound that gets me.

My vote is most definitely Supertrapps!
IMHO whatever that means!!
Go with your gut and have fun!!!

Opinion: Sell them both, keep the stock ones and take the money to the nearest casino and just keep pushing the chips back in.

I like quiet and not annoying people or drawing attention. Unfortunately the Vmax is none of that, but I still like it.

The Kerker's were by far more cost when new. AND, they sound pretty awesome when you swap out the baffles to the competitiion inserts.

I like it LOUD!
As loud as possible , it scares all the deer out of the way!!

Praise God!!!

I know, old thread, but what did you decide?

You should know what the Super Trapps look and sound like since you have used set for sale.

How much did the NOS Kerker cost you, if you don't mind me asking?

I’m considering the same options….the ST’s retain more of the stock looking style (which I like) ………personally I think the Kerkers sound better but they have that big emblem on the side….it’s really a toss up....good luck.
