    For sale: slightly-used AUDI

Perhaps the point that is trying to be made is that many drivers who pilot expensive cars aren't necessarily the best drivers, due to a feeling of importance. Don't really know, but it does seem like some people who drive the most opulent looking vehicles aren't very good drivers.

I finally found them. I'd let them go for $50 plus shipping. The shipping probably would be twice that I imagine.

    Why a Vmax?

How well does it corner in the twisties?

    Why a Vmax?

That's pretty interesting that someone would take the time and trouble to convert a V-Max into a Trike. I know trikes are getting popular with the Baby-Boomers, but I'd like to see exactly what they used for the conversion.

    Why a Vmax?

The V-Max reminds me of a big bad-ass bull or Bulldog. Always waiting for the next contender to walk into it's territory. No need to even test the contender because you know they have already lost. I felt the same way when I bought my 1984 Kawasaki 900R Ninja. If they wanted to get mauled...

    Front tire life.

I'm not sure if anyone else lives in an area like I do where they crown the roads, mainly because of snow removal and run-off problems, but where the roads are heavily crowned, it's a normal thing to get "cupping of the front tire in advance of the rear tire wearing out. When the cupping starts...

    Front tire life.

The first thing I'd ask is what kind of compound are you using. There can be a huge difference between a really soft compound tire and a touring tire. I've always used a pretty soft compound for my sport bikes and I'm a pretty easy rider and get about 4000 on a set. I never only replace a...

    Hard down-shifting

Roger that. Unfortunately, power bikes invite misuse in all too many cases and like you, I treat my bikes like I'll own them forever.

    Hard down-shifting

Seeing how the down shifting seems to be the real problem I was wondering if the shifting forks or the gears themselves are made slightly different so that moving one way is easier because of the way the machining was done, i.e. a slight slope one way or the other??

    Hard down-shifting

This change I used 20w-40 Spectro 4 but I have no idea what the PO was using. He only owned the bike about a year or so and although he said the oil had been changed, it sure didn't look like it. I've used Mobil 1 T4, and I've had 9 Yamaha's over the years from a 1978 or so XS650 to a 2018...

    Hard down-shifting

I just changed the oil and filter thinking that might be the problem but it is only marginally better. I wanted to get some castrol golden but couldn't find any.

    Hard down-shifting

I've got a 2005 Max and it runs well, and is in great condition. No issues or problems with the way it runs but it down shifts pretty hard and once in a while it's impossible to find neutral unless I turn the bike off. After turning it off it will drop onto neutral without a problem. When I...
