I have a 1997 VMAX. I was going to change it out with a 2007 VMAX engine. From the pictures the motor mounts look exactly in the same positions on my 97 bike. I just wanted to make sure if anyone knew if it was an exact fit before I purchased the engine. Thank you for your time.

I pulled valve covers to check valves and at TDC #1 cylinder the cam lobes aren't facing away from each other like they are supposed to. What does this mean? Already jumped time?

I have a 1997 vmax. When I changed my oil I started noticing fine partials of metal in my oil. It is the color of brass. There's alot of it also. When I start it sometimes it sounds like the timing chain just slapped in the engine. Could this be timing chain, or water pump. I don't know. Does...
